PANTHEON INSTITUTE ACTIVITIES


Carnival Dinner and Party - Tuesday, February 16th - 7.30pm

Carnival is coming and we invite you to celebrate it with us on Tuesday, February 16th at Gustolab Restaurant. We will have a great dinner with many typical Carnival desserts such as Castagnole (fried pastries) and Frappe (fritters) and a masquerade party just after that! Are you interested in participating? Caprarola, Bagnaia & Bomarzo daytrip  
Friday, February 19th
If you are interested in participating, please sign up at the Pantheon Center front desk or send us an e-mail by Tuesday, February 12th. A trip fee of 20 euros which includes private bus transportation and entrance to Villa Farnese’s gardens, Villa Lante in Bagnaia and “The Park of Monsters” in Bomarzo, will be required upon signing up.



Wine-tasting activity
Wednesday, February 24th, 6.30pm

Angolo Divino wine shop
Learning how to taste wines is a straightforward adventure that will deepen your appreciation for both wines and winemakers. Look, smell, taste: starting with your basic senses and expanding from there, you will learn how to taste wines and how to combine them with different kinds of food.

Martignano and Bracciano overnight trip 
April 9th-10th

Spend a relaxing weekend outside of Rome. Go behind the scenes to see how typical regional products are made. Enjoy the Italian food and nature. Take advantage of the private beach. Spend the night in a special Agriturismo!

Roman Carnival 2010 (February 6th-16th)
Rome city center
For the second year running Rome city council has organized a programme of events to celebrate the traditional carnival season. Carnevale Romano runs from February 6th to Martedì Grasso (Shrove Tuesday) on February16th, the day before Ash Wednesday and the start the 40-day period of fasting and reflection in the Christian calendar leading up to Easter.

When his brother is killed in battle, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.
