Teaching at Pantheon Institute

Teaching Opportunities at the Pantheon Institute

Does the idea of teaching in a 16th century Renaissance palazzo sound appealing? Do you cherish the thought of taking your students to see the remains of Roman antiquity… right outside the Institute’s doorstep? The Pantheon Institute offers a world of opportunity for its faculty members, starting with the chance to teach in one of world’s most historical and culturally rich cities.

The Institute offers courses in art history, international business and economics, Italian language and Italian studies, literature, history, political science, psychology, visual arts, writing, and other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Most courses are taught in English, a select few are conducted in Italian, yet all are developed to explore a common curricular element: Rome and Italy. Whenever possible, the material learned in class is supplemented by on-site study and field trips in Rome, Lazio, and other destinations in Italy.

Adjunct Positions & Course Proposals

The Pantheon Institute is continually seeking to diversify its curriculum and offer new and exciting courses. The Institute welcomes requests for teaching positions from qualified instructors, and applicants are encouraged to submit new course proposals they feel would enrich and enhance the Institute curriculum. Professors from US colleges and universities on sabbatical, extended leave, or those interested in teaching a course at the Pantheon Institute with students from their home institution are encouraged to apply, as well as qualified instructors in or near Rome.
